Administrator Access
Answered

I'm new to SP this week and I have noticed one area of frustration. I have an administration assistant who is helping me set everything up because I'm so busy with client's. In order to give her access to create documents and set the practice up I have had to add her as a clinician otherwise she had very limited access and could not help me with set up. In addition once my free trail is up I would have to pay a clinician rate for her to have this access. Has anyone else had this problem and is there anything I am missing?

Hi Julia, you're correct, the only way your Assistant can create Notes & Forms, or Consent Documents in your account is by granting them Clinician with Administrator Access. This will cost you $39/ month when you upgrade to a paid account, or after your 30 day trial is up. For the time being, you could add your Assistant as a Clinician with Administrator Access, then once she's created all of your documentation, you can delete her clinical account, then you can recreate her as a Scheduler/ Biller. If you'd like to see permissions for non-clinicians expanded, you can upvote and comment on this feature request: https://simplepractice.uservoice.com/forums/918553-simplepractice-feedback/suggestions/36554002-allow-more-flexibility-for-permissions-on-clinicia
