Hi Nora, yes you can! You'll just want to enter a new diagnosis by going to the client's file > +Create New > Diagnosis & Treatment Plan. Backdate this new diagnosis to have it be included on all relevant appointments. The new diagnosis will now only appear on billing documents, like claims and superbills, that you generate after the diagnosis date!

What if C discharges no longer meeting criteria for ANY diagnosis? Is there a way to add an end date to a diagnosis without deleting it altogether or exchanging it for a new diagnosis?

Hi Cam, you can add a Diagnosis & Treatment Plan, then leave the Diagnosis field blank, hit Skip to Treatment Plan, then don't create a Treatment Plan. Whatever date and time you've set for this blank diagnosis will act as the end date for the previously entered diagnosis. Appointments thereafter won't have a diagnosis associated with them, unless you add a new diagnosis.

Ive been trying to add a secondary diagnosis so both appear on Superbill.  Each time I try to do it the initial diagnosis gets erased and replaced by my second one.

Hi Monica, head over to Settings > Billing & Services > Insurance to check the box to enable multiple diagnoses to appear on Superbills and Claims!

    Hi Ruth,

I was required by state Medicaid to complete an annual mental health assessment. The client has the same diagnosis as before. I created a new diagnosis and treatment plan as you recommended above, but now the diagnosis is being list twice on the CMS1500 billing form. Any thoughts on what I did wrong?

How do I have only one diagnosis, out of multiple, appear on a superbill?  Currently all diagnosis are populating.
