I agree with the prior post.  Updating a treatment plan and making changes when needed might actually occur weekly or bi weekly.  This is a feature that needs to be changed to reflect a pt progress in therapy.

It looks like this has been suggested for 2 YEARS. What changes are being made to make this feature better?

    Hi Ruth,

When you do go to create a new treatment plan, I noticed that the 'create from previous' only seems to work for the diagnosis. Is there a way to bring up past treatment plans when creating a new one? I am going to go vote for this on the ideas and suggestions board as well.

Looking for the feature to update and review a treatment plan instead of creating a new one, just like you all!

I appreciate the new feature of adding progress to a treatment plan. However, this only allows if the treatment plan is a Wiley plan. I personally, prefer to write out my own treatment plans with the client's specific goals in mind, not from the limited options provided in Wiley.

SP, thank you for adding this feature for Wiley plans. Is there any way we could do this for ALL treatment plans that are entered into the system?

This appears to be an issue that has lasted for 3 years. Can we get an update on how this has been improved? I don't see the point in the reminder if I can't update the existing treatment plan.

Really cool new logo, how about make an option so we can review treatment plans, it's only been like 3 1/2 half years.

I am also looking for this feature. I have indicated in the note that we have reviewed but am used to other EHRs where I extend target dates etc.

Would someone from Simple Practice be able to respond to this thread, even if it is to say they will take this feedback to developers? With more and more insurance companies doing audits this is an extremely important detail that needs to be addressed. Thank you!

I agree. It's time to fix this or look for other options. Someone please respond from SP! Thank you!

Does Simple Practice have a plan for implementing a feature to review a treatment plan? It appears this has been an issue for 2 years. I hope Simple Practice listens to the people who are paying for this product, as there are other ones out there that have this type of feature.

Dear Simple Practice: You know, we are people people, as therapists. Multiple posts on this topic with no response from anyone at SP is really disappointing. Having no phone number to call when you really have an urgent need is also disappointing. Not to get on a soapbox, but human interaction and contact is ironically what would make your company and product so much better. Just respond..............it's a matter of following the values you purport to have, and hopefully one of the reasons you got into this business too.....to HELP people. Thanks

Please add this, when we are audited we are dinged if we can't show regular reviews.

I agree with the frustration of being able to review a treatment plan. Why have the "Review Reminder" when we really can't review?

What strategies are other Simple Practice users employing while we wait for this needed feature update? What other EHRs offer this simple feature? I need more flexibility than Wiley Treatment Plans offer. I'm disappointed that I can't easily document my own treatment plan reviews.

Also frustrated with this function (or lack there of). Does anyone know if this is a function in Jane.App?

Hi Kyle, I'd recommend upvoting and commenting on this post on our Ideas and Suggestions Board: https://simplepractice.uservoice.com/forums/918553-simplepractice-feedback/suggestions/38611996-add-review-date-to-treatment-plan . You're correct, we have released a feature that will allow you to set a reminder to review an existing Treatment Plan; however, this feature enhancement doesn’t allow you to sign a treatment plan, or indicate it’s been reviewed. For now, I'd recommend clicking +Create New > Diagnosis & Treatment Plan > Create from previous and manually noting that the Treatment Plan has been reviewed, in addition to any new notes you'd like to make on the previously entered fields.

I agree ! It is very frustrating to not be able to note progress on treatment plans and update the existing ones.

This has been a large frustration for me. I would like to be able to document directly to the treatment plan upon the review date or whenever it needs to be updated or amended. Can SP make this happen?

Any updates on making it much easier to review a treatment plan in SP??

This seems like a relatively easy thing to add to the form.  A place to either click "review" with date and a narrative space for comments.

Came to figure how to review a treatment plan with no changes, disappointed this feature is not yet a thing.

Kyle has a great idea. It was 2 years ago, so I am wondering what is delaying this fix. I just reviewed a care plan and ended up doing an Add Note that I reviewed it and the status of it. Being able to be in the care plan and after reviewing it, select the "button" that would do a kind of date stamp.

Chiming in to add that this would be a great feature to either

    a) copy over old plan to revise and create a new one

    b) mark old plan as reviewed with a note in document history that it has been reviewed.

Great idea for a feature, though implementation is lacking. Thank you!

Here to express frustration that a clear "reviewed" option still hasn't been introduced into the fix yet. There needs to be options added to more than just Wiley plans.

I agree with the frustration and disappointment of not being able to review a treatment plan, and note it with updated date. Why have the "Review Reminder" when we really can't review?. And the reminder keeps popping for the same client!

This features needs to be added to ALL the SP subscriptions plans.

Frustrating to be looking all over for the answer and then find a post dated 2 years ago, and it hasn't bee "heard" yet.

Please add the ability to mark treatment plans as reviewed (especially since the reminders are an existing feature).
