Report for Cash and Checks
AnsweredI need the ability to pull a report for payments by checks and cash. Is this possible in SP? Sometimes clinicians post payments as cash by mistake and they don't seem to catch the mistake. If I can pull a report each week then I can verify this with what is turned into me as payments.

No problem! Check out this guide for more information about Exporting your Billing Data to Quickbooks and Excel.

I have this same problem. I have credits that are created by system when a payment should have been applied to previous session. I then have to create a FAKE invoice to clear the problem. This results in errors for my biller who then can think I collected that money when, in fact, I have not. Simple needs to do better for clinicians who have outside billers. I also need a report that will show me any transactions listed as cash. Because I am a telehealth clinician, I would never collect cash and these are numbers I can send to my biller at the end of the month. I see other's queries are from months ago with no clear resolution. Not good. Some of this is a learner's curve, some is not. I need to do better too!

I am reading all these cash mistake posts and having same issue. I clicked cash when I did NOT receive cash. There is not a place to edit payment for cash (as there is with credit card transactions). Is everyone doing dummy invoices to make the balance sheet work? Since it's telehealth I hope I have a legitimate explanation that there is not cash transaction but is there another answer? Many thanks!!!

I see many of your users are experiencing the same issue I am about to bring to you. Many times users are accidentally posting their payments to cash. Sometimes it is caught and sometimes it is not. I am concerned with the amount of times it is not caught and how much money we could be losing and is not accounted for. I can easily find all the credit card transactions but not the "CASH" ones. Why is that? Especially since so many of Simple Practices users are running into issues with this same problem. I have tried to follow the instructions on uploading to excel, but I do not see where the report goes. Some assistance would be appreciated and I hope that your team can fix this ongoing problem for it's users!
