I, too, would like to see the feature allowing clients to upload their own files to the portal

  Hi Christine, I'd be happy to help with this. We released Client Document Upload in 2020, and you can enable this feature under Settings > Client Portal. Once enabled, clients will be able to upload documents to the Documents tab of their Client Portal. When a client uploads a new document, you'll receive an email letting you know, and the document will be securely stored on the client's Overview page.
