Separate option for address on CMS forms
AnsweredHi. I do understand how to create different addresses in the billing section. However, although I want my practice address to appear on my invoices and billing statements that go to my pts, for the CMS claim forms, I want a different address to appear (I've already added this other address to the drop-down box in the Billing section, fyi). The only way to do that is to manually go in and change the addresses in the billing address dropdown menu each time prior to generating and submitting a CMS form. That's kinda tedious and cumbersome. After I'm done, I'd have to go back in and change again, etc.
Can you guys create a separate box option for desired addresses to be shown only on CMS forms? That would be a massive help!
Thank you!

Hi Mary, if Telehealth isn't enabled in your account, then the first address listed in Settings > My Practice > Locations, will be the one automatically listed on billing documents. If Telehealth is enabled, you can change the address on your billing documents manually in Settings > Billing & Services. Then, you can go to Settings > Billing & Services > Insurance and change the address that's listed in Box 33 on your claims.

Hi Ruth,
Yes, I already understand that and how to change addresses as mentioned in my original question and your response. What I'm requesting is to have a separate address field JUST for claim forms. Here is the reason: many of us are now providing Telehealth from our homes. While that is the correct practice address to put on our claim forms, we do not necessarily want our home address on the invoices/superbills/statements that go to our pts. For many of us, the privacy and safety of our home address is not something we want to share, like, ever. Right now I'm manually going in and changing the address myself but it's just tedious to remember and to do it and then switch it right back to send a superbill, etc. If we could have address fields based on appearance on forms, that would save a lot of time. Hope that makes sense.

Hi Mary, yes, that makes perfect sense! In Settings > Billing & Services, under Billing Address, manually enter the address you don't mind appearing on Invoices and Superbills (not your Home Address). If your Home Address is the address you're contracted under to file claims, go to Settings > Billing & Services > Insurance, uncheck the "Use practice default" box so that you can manually type out the Billing Address that'll appear in Box 33 on your claims.
Here's a screenshot:

AH!! Bingo! That's fantastic! Even better! I think the other page that says address is being used for superbills, claims, etc is misleading bc one thinks there are no other choices but to go back and forth fixing it manually. But this checkbox you just directed me to fixes the problems! Very good! Thank you so much!
