Payer Claim Control Number for BCBS
AnsweredI recently had a bunch of claims get denied and to resubmit I have to include the "Payer Claim Control Number. I have read the other articles and resubmitted with the number on the top of the simple practice claim, but they were agin denied. BCBS rep had no idea what the "Payer Claim Control Number" is, can anyone help me locate this?
Thanks!

Hi Amber,
If a claim has been assigned a Payer Claim # and a Clearinghouse Reference #, these numbers will be listed directly under the client's name.
If there have been multiple submissions of the same claim, you can click Claim Details next to the client's name to find the claim filing history including any previous reference numbers.

Melanie and Evelyn, I contacted the help desk and let them know. There was some issue in the BCBS system which eventually got rectified with the claims I had rejected. I imagine it's the same issue AGAIN, so I recommend contacting Simple Practice Help. It took about a week and a half for the issue to be resolved.
