How to change payment from cash to stripe after it's invoiced
AnsweredI meant to have a client pay by stripe but invoiced and paid it as cash by accident. How can I go back and change this to stripe?

Hi Amanda and Ellen, happy to help! Go to the client's file > Billing tab, find the Cash payment, click on it and delete it. Next, navigate to the ADD PAYMENTS box to the right of the client's file, select Stripe Credit Card as the billing type and enter the amount you'd like to charge the card on file. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Gosh, I am now having the same issue. I deleted the invoice. I am under transitions (under billing tab). I see the cash payment (that I need to delete),but no option to delete it. Anyone have additional guidance? Thanks in advance
**Edited to note that you actually have to select the "transactions" tab next to the dates to open a new view. There you can edit/delete a payment.

Hi all, I accidentally charged cash rather than stripe. I was able to follow the top instructions to delete the invoice and charge the stripe appropriately but now I'm having the same issue as others- now it appears the client has a credit even though they don't (as I never received cash of course). I am under transitions (under billing tab). I see the cash payment (that I need to delete) but no option to delete it. I'm not sure what drop down menu people are referencing- tried entering the dates but still unable to delete so it's this last step I need help with. Thanks so much!

Wesleigh and Benjamin, make sure you first have the correct date range selected under the billing tab in which the transaction occurred. Second, make sure you have deleted all invoices and superbills related to the transaction. Third, select "Transactions" under the drop-down menu next to the dates. Fourth, look for the "Edit" link next to the cash transaction and select it. Once you select it, you will see the "Delete Payment" link in red. Select it. A window will open asking if you are sure you want to delete it; select Delete Now. I hope that helps.
