What is the claims process after it has been submitted?
AnsweredI submitted my first claims ever to Beacon. It says Accepted but it's been 30 days. I was just wondering what is the process. If it says accepted does that mean that Beacon accepted it or just Simple Practice accepted it? What should I expect after accepted, meaning is paid the next step or is there another step in the process? I'm just trying to figure out where in the process I am in.
Also does simple practice know that we have been paid if the payment is sent via check and not electronically?

Hi Lisa, I'd be happy to help. The Accepted status means that the claim has been accepted for processing by the payer and a payment should be forthcoming. When you're enrolled in Payment Reports with SimplePractice, you'll receive electronic EOBs through our platform, notifying you of how much you've been paid and for which sessions. If you're not enrolled in Payment Reports with Beacon, SimplePractice won't automatically update the claim's status to Paid and record the payment amount, but you can enter this manually using the paper EOB you receive from Beacon.
