Sadly this cannot yet be done. But man I wish it could. Maybe in the future.

It would be very helpful to be able to duplicate questions/form elements.

This would be an extremely helpful option to help maintain continuity across client forms as well as case notes. Plus, it would make creating and editing forms so much easier/quicker.

I haven't found a way to do this.

SimplePractice, could you add this feature? That would save so much time for so many of us!

It would be such a time saver to be able to duplicate a question while creating or modifying a SimplePractice questionnaire template.

This has literally not been updated in 3 years? Seriously, this is such a simple addition!

Young Schema Questionnaire: 232 identical answer choices!  PLEASE, Simple Practice - come on!

I agree that it would be very nice to have this feature of copying a question that has already been written out and even the ability to have a fast entry option for multiple responses.  These are tasks that can happen within Luminello which made creating forms a bit easier in some ways.

I have the same concern as others here. I want to create an assessment with likert scale. But having to make 20 questions by scratch?! I opted for long answers instead.

Everyone is still waiting 3 years for this?!?!?! I am creating an augmentative and alternative communication evaluation template and there are so many items that need very similar question types, dropdown menus, multiple choice answers, etc. Even free programs such as google forms allows us to duplicate questions within a form. This is making me want to look into other options for EMR. This is a time suck!

This would greatly improve the functionality of the SimplePractice templates. Currently, I have found that I can get more from creating word templates and just copying and pasting them into SimplePractice. It would be far better to just be able to make the full template in SimplePractice. Unfortunately, this is one aspect of the service that I have to warn others about if they rely heavily on using templates in their practice. I love SimplePractice, but this is a notable weakness in usability.

Please add an ability to copy questions and form elements.  One of the reasons I chose SimplePractice was due to the ability to make forms to use with clients.  It would save considerable time if I could copy form elements already created. I can move them but to my knowledge not copy them.

For those looking to be able to copy items within a form, there is a feature request to do that. Please go vote for it here! (It's not the most straightforward request for this feature but it includes it and has 23 votes so better to build on what is there already). I agree this is so annoying to have to re-enter the same response options over and over for each new item.

This has been commented on for 4 years now. The template customization feature is horrendous and takes HOURS to be able to insert everything that is needed. It should not take 30 minutes to complete a several question assessments. It should be able to enter in a 30 question assessment in 10 minutes or less.
I am a young, skilled, computer user and this is appalling. This current set-up is not intuitive at all, it is ancient, and we are still using drop down menus. It looks like it was created by a first year coding student?
