Hi Dr. Steinbrunner and Bradley, happy to help. You can quickly run a report for your practice that reveals all incomplete or unsaved notes. You can visit Reports > Appointment Status > Include Documentation to show the documentation status for all notes for every appointment in SimplePractice.

This was very helpful, thank you!

I do wish there was something showing open notes in an area that was regularly observed.  For example, in other EHRs I have used (i.e., Kareo), from the dashboard/calendar page, there was a link for "open notes" akin to a to do list that showed number of unassigned notes for the logged in provider.

Unfortunately, this only works if the supervisor in question has access to all client data in a practice. It would be really useful -- and help us to maintain confidentiality/privacy -- if supervisors could see their supervisee's clients in the report you mention without being able to see the entire client list of the practice, which they don't have the need to have access to.

Hello, I'm a clinician requesting assistance on how to track open notes without needing to review EVERY note.
