problems getting paid by Anthem BCBS
AnsweredI have two BCBS claims denied, apparently for "required modifier is missing." These same patients' claims paid before with no modifiers, nor have I used modifiers with any of my other BCBS clients. I've found it impossible to get to speak to an Anthem BCBS Benefits person. Has anyone else had either of these problems? Any solutions?

For information on how a payer may be changing the information they need to reimburse a claim, we recommend checking with the payer directly.

To look for a payer ID, you may go to Settings > Insurance > All Payers and search for the payer's name. For more information, I recommend reviewing this resource: Adding insurance payers and selecting the correct payer ID.
