How to effectively email a 3rd party a client export

    Hi Tashina,

    When you conduct a data export, the exported file will initially be a zip file which can be double-clicked to access the individual PDF and vCard files that contain the client's information. Note that if you set up a password for your data export, a password will need to be entered before the zip file can be opened.

    If you are sending the zip file to your colleague, they will need the password if you set one up. If they have additional issues opening the zip file, we recommend they reach out to the support team for their device.

    If you are sending the individual PDF and vCard files to your colleague, they will not need the password to open the files. If you'd like to send these securely, we recommend setting up the colleague with a client profile in your account, Uploading the files to their profile, and Sharing the files with them through the Client Portal. If they have any issues opening the PDF or vCard files, we recommend they reach out to the support team for their device.
