Using Simple Practice overseas

    Hi Virginia,

I’m happy to provide some clarity about accessing your SimplePractice account while outside the United States.

Though clinicians are only able to create a new SimplePractice account from certain countries (Australia is one of these), you can access your existing SimplePractice account from any country around the world. Clients can also access the Client Portal from any country in the world.

Something to note while traveling abroad is the reset password functionality. While this functionality does work outside of the United States, there are some things to consider before relying on this option when traveling:

    • If you’ve used a practice phone number based in the US, it may not be accessible from a foreign country.

    • If you don’t have a roaming plan, you may not receive text messages or phone calls while abroad.

If you’d like to learn more about the steps to reset your account password, see Trouble logging in to your account.
