Triwest payer ID change

    Hi Amada,

    I have been notified that the Clearinghouse is still working on getting that connection set-up.

    When it is, change all TriWest clients' (under "Billing and Insurance") Insurance Payer from VAPCCCx (x = 3, or 5A, etc.) to TWVACCN using the drop-down menu. Do not electronically bill any VAPCCCx in the meantime, they will reject.

    Do NOT use VACCN - that is for (new) CCN Regions 1, 2 and 3 thru Optum. 

    New CCN Regions 4, 5 and 6 use only TWVACCN.

    Remember, you can print and mail paper claims if required, but this will hopefully get squared away so soon that this option isn't time-efficient. 

    Lastly, the process for EFT/ERA could add a bit so it's possible you'll get a few paper checks and/or paper remittance advice reports before that kicks in.
