Client sending document to me

Is there a way for a client to send me a document through SP rather than emailing it to me?

  On your client's portal, at the bottom of the Documents tab, is a box where clients can send you files. The note there is that accepted formats include:

  PDF, JPG, PNG, MP3, M4A, DOC, & CSV
