initial link is timing out for new patient

Perhaps the clock connection is wrong?  

I have been trying to send a link to the portal to a new patient and their end says that the link has timed out only minutes after I have sent it.  I tried sending the same link to my tech assistant, and the same thing happened.  Thanks in advance for the help.
