I just had an idea for a workaround for a third party to upload documents and send secure messages and am wondering if it would work and whether it would be simpler than setting up/abling/disabling third party contacts for each of the kids I work with when the need arises. Here goes: What about creating a client called "Third Party Contact" and every time I'd need to send or receive documents to/from a third party, I'd upload it there and enter the third party's email address and invite them to that Third Party Contact client portal. And I could also invite them to use secure messaging. And then I just disable the email address for them when we are finished. Would that be more complicated or less complicated then adding them as a contact each time I need to do so for a client? The advantage as I see it is that they (the 3rd party) can't see any of the documents that the patient has uploaded (and to which they'd have access even temporarily while they are downloading the document that is specific to them).
