Diagnosis not on Progress Note

Is it correct to assume the diagnosis code does not automatically show up on the progress note? I thought it was required......I know I can add myself, but I wondered. Is there a plan to have that info. added (at least the ICD9 code) to each progress note automatically (we can turn it off if we don't need that).Thanks!

  Hi Erin,

  The diagnosis code does have to be manually added to a Progress Note by clicking the Add Diagnosis button in the upper right hand corner of the Progress Note which then allows you to choose the diagnosis code.
