Sending Records Requests

I have someone asking for records for 2 clients. I did the export file feature for each client individually and it downloaded each clients as a zip file. I shared the zip files via secure email to the folks requesting but they said they are unable to open the contents inside the zip file. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks!
