Website Domain
AnsweredI am not "tech-savvy" enough to maintain a professional website, so I am grateful that simplepractice has this option.
I would like to know: is possible for simplepractice to "take over" my domain and replace my "old" website? After I connected my custom domain to my simplepractice account, I did not notice anything on my website. After the connection of my domain name, I did see that simplepractice created a portal with a "version" of my website name https://www. (created simplepractice website portal) which is different than what my website has https:// (website). What this created is that I know have a https://www. (name) and a https://( name) that are completely different and no connection between the two. In other words, I understand that they are both mine, but I am not sure of why they are different and not merged or at the very least connected. I was under the impression (likely my misunderstanding of website building) that my website would merge (or take over) the name into a "simplepractice" website model. Is there a way in which I can keep my domain name and utilize it with simplepractice?
I am new to "solo" practice and I am trying to simplify my workflow and having my website connected to this would be great at accomplishing that. However, if it is not possible, I understand. I had recently created my website through Bluehost before I started to develop my simplepractice account. Many of the tutorials in simple practice were geared towards godaddy and so, considering my technical limitations, I am not sure how to proceed with what I presented above. Any guidance or referral to a technical support staff to help resolve this would be really appreciated.
kindly
Alex
