unpaid sessions
AnsweredHow do I get rid of the unpaid sessions that popped up since the new billing dashboard went in on August 1? I haven't seen these clients in years, with one exception as she is the only active client.

In my initial response, I assumed these were sessions for which you did not receive any payment at all. Based on your description, I'm guessing these are sessions for which you received an insurance payment, but did not receive the client's payment?
I'm also not really sure what you mean by "unpaid sessions that popped up" and "new billing dashboard". Are you talking about the Billing Overview on the right side of the client page?
In any event, I think what you're going to need to do is click "Add Insurance Payment" from the right hand side of the client's main page. Enter $0 in the "Amount" box under Payment Details. Under "All Appointments", select a date range to find the sessions in question. Change the "Client Owes" to $0 and recalculate the Write-Off by pressing the over-under arrows button. I hope that solves your problem.

These are sessions that took place in 2015. I’m not sure how payment got recorded back then as it was in the beginning stages of SP and my use of the software. When SP did the new latest update- all these old outstanding balances popped up that hadn’t been showing prior to the update Aug 1. Only one outstanding balance is recent. Now I’m showing insurance credit and outstanding balance. I would appreciate help getting these balances to zero.

Hi Betsy. I think if you follow my instructions above, it will solve your problem. Unfortunately, if may be a tedious process because you will have to do it for each client. Here are the instructions I originally wrote:
Click "Add Insurance Payment" from the right hand side of the client's main page.
Enter $0 in the "Amount" box under Payment Details.
Under "All Appointments", select a date range to find the sessions in question. Change the "Client Owes" to $0 and recalculate the Write-Off by pressing the over-under arrows button.
I hope that solves your problem.
