Does unallocated mean the payment declined?

The clients I saw and charged this week all have "unallocated," what does this mean? It also says "unpaid" in each clients' Billing section of their chart.

  Hi Gabrielle,

  Unallocated means that the payment was made but it didn't have an invoice that it could count towards so it is instead showing up as a credit. I see that you were able to create a Help Request and will receive assistance with this as soon as possible.
