Private Pay- GN?
AnsweredMy client is requesting that a GN modifier be put on his superbill so he can submit to insurance so that the visit charges will contribute to his insurance deductible. Is this possible for a private pay client? If so, how do I do it?

Hi Mary,
You’ll first want to enable modifiers in your account. To do this:
-
Navigate to Settings > Billing & Services > Insurance
-
Check the box next to Enable Modifiers for your practice
-
Click Save
If a superbill has already been created for the dates of service in question, you’ll want to delete it and recreate it since an appointment can only exist on a single superbill. After you delete it, you can add the modifier using the Edit option next to the appointment on the client’s Billing page. Once the modifier is added, click New > Superbill in the client’s Billing page to create an updated superbill.
