cash refund for credit

A client's son has a credit of $1890. The family prepaid for services, initially. The son is now terminating services. The mother is beginning services. I want to refund the $1890 in cash to the son and then pay the same amount (in cash) to the mother's account. If I refund the credit on the their card, I"ll have a pay a fee. I do not want to pay the fee. 

How do I refund the son's credit (which was paid with a card) with cash (so I can deposit it in the mother's account)? 

If I try to refund it by going to the transaction, it wont allow me to refund cash... not an option
