About the class
The Getting Started with Online Appointment Requests class is a 4 part video series that covers online appointment requests in SimplePractice.

Video player controls
Hover your mouse over the video to access the following options.
- To view the video in full screen mode, click , and to exit, click it again or press esc
- To display the chapter list, click and select a chapter
- To change the speed or quality of the video, click , and choose the option you prefer
- To change the volume, click , and drag the circle up or down
- To enable or disable closed captioning and search the transcript, click
Introduction
In the introduction, we'll cover basics around the online appointment requests feature.
Part 1. Set up
In part 1, we'll review how to set up online appointment requests for the first time.
To access the Set up tool for appointment requests:
- Navigate to the Calendar
- Select the gear icon > Set up appointment requests
Part 2. Client Portal and Service settings
In part 2, we'll review how to refine the controls for your appointment requests. For the Client Portal, you can access this at Settings > Scheduling > Client portal permissions.
You can access Service settings at Settings > Billing > Services and Products > Services.
Part 3. Availability
In part 3, we'll review how to add and manage your availability.
To access the availability schedule:
- Navigate to the Calendar
- Select the gear icon > Availability schedule

In part 4, we'll test what your availability looks like from a client point of view and submit a test appointment request to see how you’ll receive them in your SimplePractice account.
