About the class

The Getting started with marketing your practice on-demand class walks through setting up your Marketing settings in SimplePractice, including your Therapy Finder profile and Professional Website

In this class, we’ll cover:


Video player controls

Hover your mouse over the video to access the following options:

  • To view the video in full screen mode, click wistia, and to exit, click it again or press esc
  • To display the chapter list, click bulletedlines.simplepractice.video.png and select a chapter
  • To change the speed or quality of the video, click gear.simplepractice.video.png, and choose the option you prefer
  • To change the volume, click speaker.simplepractice.video.png, and drag the circle up or down
  • To enable or disable closed captioning and search the transcript, click cc.simplepractice.video.png

Part 1. Customizing your Therapy Finder profile

Therapy Finder is an online directory designed specifically for behavioral health clinicians. Clinicians with non-behavioral health specialties will not see Therapy Finder in their account.

For group practices, you can control which clinicians are listed in the Therapy Finder directory.

The Professional Website provides a simple, clean online presence for your practice that’s easy to manage directly within SimplePractice.

Part 4. Professional Website for group practices

Group practices can use the Professional Website to represent the practice as a whole.

Many group practices choose to:

  • Use a group photo or practice logo
  • Update the About section to include information about multiple clinicians


Part 5. SEO for your Professional Website

The Professional Website is built with SEO in mind to help your practice appear in search results.

To further optimize SEO, we recommend adding a page description for your practice, which helps search engines understand and surface your website content.

Part 6. Connecting a custom domain

A custom domain is optional and can be used if you’d like to customize the web address for your Professional Website.

Custom domains are purchased through a third-party domain provider outside of SimplePractice. Once connected, your custom domain will direct visitors to your Professional Website.
