You can control which services are available for online appointment requests and how clients are allowed to request them.

Refining online appointment request options
With availability scheduling, you can determine which services are available for online appointment requests and how clients can request them.
Note: Services appear to clients in the order they were added to your account.
Designating a service for online appointment requests
To choose which services are available for online appointment requests:
- Navigate to Settings > Services and products > Services
- Select a service
- Check Allow online appointment requests
- Click Save
Allowing new clients to book online
If you’re accepting new clients and want them to request appointments online for a specific service:
- Navigate to Settings > Services and products > Services
- Select a service
- Confirm Allow online appointment requests is enabled under Booking options
- Check Allow requests from new clients
- Click Save
Note: You can control which client types are allowed to request appointments from Settings > Scheduling and inquiries > Client portal permissions.
Requiring clients to call to request
If you want clients to call your practice instead of requesting a service online:
- Navigate to Settings > Services and products > Services
- Select a service
- Confirm Allow online appointment requests is enabled under Booking options
- Check Require call to request appointment
- Click Save
Note: Clients will see available times for this service along with instructions to call your practice. You can update the phone number shown to clients from Settings > Practice > Practice details.
Setting up a phone screening service for new clients
Many clinicians offer a phone screening service so prospective clients can schedule an initial consultation before committing to ongoing care.
To create a phone screening service:
- Navigate to Settings > Services and products > Services
- Click + Add service
- Select 00000 - Initial Consultation - No Charge from the Service dropdown
- You can customize the service code and description as needed
- Set the Rate and Default Duration
- Most clinicians use a rate of $0 and a duration of 15 minutes
- Check Allow online appointment requests and Allow requests from new clients
- Click Save

After creating the phone screening service, you can add it to your availability. To do this:
- Navigate to your calendar
- Select the gear icon > View availability schedule
- Edit an existing availability block or create a new one
- Under Services, click Add service and select the phone screening service
- Click Save
