Managing ComPsych referrals

ComPsych referrals allow eligible clinicians to receive appointment requests from new clients through the ComPsych provider network.

In this guide, we’ll cover:

Activating ComPsych referrals

To determine whether you’re eligible to receive in-network referrals, see Eligibility requirements for in-network referrals.

To begin receiving in-network client referrals from ComPsych, this payer requires that you first connect your SimplePractice account to their provider portal. If you need further assistance, please reach out to ComPsych directly.

Note: To stop receiving ComPsych referrals, see Turning in-network referral requests on or off.

Managing ComPsych referral availability

Once you’ve activated in-network referrals through ComPsych, you can create availability blocks for ComPsych referrals. Availability will allow new clients to see when you’re available for services, so they can submit appointment requests.

To do this:

  1. Navigate to Marketing > In-Network Referrals
  2. Under Availability, click Manage availability next to ComPsych
  3. Enter an Availability title
  4. Specify the days, times, and location(s) you’d like to make available

Tip: To create a buffer before or after each appointment requested through this channel, click Advanced settings and specify how many minutes you’d like to block off

  1. Click Save

Note: This availability will only be shown to ComPsych members.

You can also make changes to your existing ComPsych availability from the In-Network Referrals page. To do this:

  1. Next to ComPsych, click Manage availability under the Availability column
  2. Choose from the following options:
    • Select the pencil icon next to an availability block to edit it
    • Select the trash can icon next to an availability block to delete it
    • Select Add Availability to create additional availability blocks
