On the reports page, you've access to more powerful reports and
analytics for your practice. On the left menu click Analytics
and then Reports. In the upper right corner of each report, you
can click export to download a CSV or Excel file, allowing you
to easily review or print as needed. Let's briefly preview each
report so you're aware of what information is available. Income
reports. Income Allocation. The Income Allocation report shows
the total amount of payments received by the clinician for a
pay period. You also have the ability to create paid period snapshots
and view adjustments. To learn more about calculating payroll
click the link on screen. Income. The income report lists income
from client payments and insurance payments and summarizes gross
income fees and net income for the set date range. Referral income.
The Referral Income Report details where client referrals came
from and the total revenue attributed to those sources. In order
to track this data. You can add a referral source for a client
by going to the client's overview page. Then "Edit", then scroll
down to find the "Referred By" section and add in the information.
Payouts. The payouts report details all of the payouts issued
through your account. Tax reports. Every year, SimplePractice
provides a tax report for your practice. This is a preview of
the information the yearly tax report contains. Clients and appointments
reports. Client Details. The Client Details Report displays basic
client information that allows you to manage, filter and export
information for both active and inactive clients. Client demographics.
The Client Demographics report displays key demographic information
of all the clients in your account. Appointment status. The Appointment
Status Report details the financial status of every appointment
in your practice. This report allows you to see the billing history
for a client and to easily identify billing discrepancies, so
that you can make the corrections you need. To learn more about
this report click the link on screen. Attendance. This report
is organized by client based on appointment status. Appointment
reminders. This report keeps a record of the reminders sent to
your clients in the last 30 days. Sent emails. This report gives
you a record of emails that are sent from SimplePractices system
for the last 30 days. Billing reports. Outstanding balances.
The Outstanding Balances Report provides an overview of the amounts
that are still owed by clients and insurance. Client Balance
Aging. The Client Balance Aging Report lists monies owed out
of pocket by clients with respect to time. This is useful for
tracking client balances, determining which clients have a past
due balance, and seeing how long a balance has been overdue.
Clinician invoicing, for group practices only. This report shows
the total amount of invoices for the selected time period. Invoices.
This report shows the status of every invoice in your account.
You can sort this report by date range and by invoice status.
Insurance reports. Unpaid insurance appointments. This report
shows a list of unpaid insurance appointments for each client
listed by date. Note, a dash symbol means there's no information
to report. Outstanding claims. The Outstanding Claims Report
is an aging report on money owed from insurance companies, and
it's sorted by insurance provider. Filed claims. This report
shows a list of all insurance claims that have been filed electronically
through SimplePractice for a selected date range. Payment reports.
This report shows a list of all payment reports, also called
Electronic EOBs, received through SimplePractice for a select
a date range. Coverage reports. This report shows a list of all
insurance coverage reports generated by a SimplePractice in a
selected date range. The Help Center has more details about how

The Reports tab gives you access to reports you can run for your practice. Each report can be downloaded as a CSV or Excel file, making it easy to review, share, or print as needed.
To access reports, select Analytics from the left navigation menu, then open the Reports tab.
Reports are generally categorized into four types: income reports, clients and appointments reports, billing reports, and insurance reports.
Income reports
Income reports provide insight into the revenue earned by your practice, including client payments and insurance payments. These reports help you understand how income is generated and can be used to evaluate and improve your billing workflows.
Insurance reports provide insight into insurance billing and claims activity. These reports can help you track the claim lifecycle and better understand reimbursement trends from insurance payers.
What access does each team member have to reports?
Important: When a team member other than the Account Owner views a report, it won't include data for restricted clients. For more information, see the Limiting access to Analytics dashboard and reports section of Restricting access for a client’s profile.
SimplePractice team members have different access levels to reports, depending on their role.
If given the permission to Export client data, can access the Annual financial activity report in Settings > Practice > Data exportif it's been exported by the Account Owner
