You can customize your experience on the SimplePractice for Clinicians mobile app by adjusting settings in the app, including push notifications for new messages and appointment activity. Below, we'll cover:

Managing push notifications on iPhone/iPad
Push notifications from your mobile device can notify you of important details about your practice, such as upcoming appointments, new appointment requests, and Secure Messages.
To enable push notifications within the mobile app:
- Tap your profile in the upper left corner
- Select Settings
- To enable notifications, make sure Push notifications is toggled on
If you’re allowing push notifications for the first time, your device will ask you if you’d like the app to send you notifications. Select Allow to finish enabling push notifications.
Alternatively, you may be requested to open settings. After selecting this, tap Notifications > Allow Notifications.
To enable or disable certain types of notifications:
- Tap Notification preferences
- Select Upcoming appointments, New secure messages, and/or New appointment requests to enable or disable specific push notifications
- If checked, the notification type is enabled
- Toggle All on to enable all push notifications
You can also set up a default time to receive notifications for upcoming appointments. To do this:
- Tap Appointment notification delivery
- Select when you’ll receive the notification
Managing other settings on iPhone/iPad
There are other settings available in the mobile app. After tapping your profile in the upper left corner and selecting Settings in the app, you can toggle on the following features.
