Changing your telehealth background

Your background determines what’s behind you when your clients view you during a telehealth session. Selecting the right background can help avoid any environmental distractions during your sessions. 

To update your background:

  1. Before starting a telehealth session, click Telehealth settings
    • If you're already in a telehealth session, click your avatar, and choose Telehealth settings

  1. Select Background from the left panel
  2. Choose your background preference from the available options:
    • Select Add image to upload a custom background
    • Select Crop to resize your existing background
    • Select Blur to blur your existing background
    • Select from the rest of the options to choose a default background image

  1. Once you’ve chosen your preferred background, click X to return to your telehealth session

Note: You can return to telehealth settings at any time to update your background as needed. 

To remove a custom background:

  1. Hover over your selection
  2. Click the trash can icon in the top right corner of the image

If your background isn’t properly aligning during a telehealth session, we recommend:

  • Adjusting your lighting so that you stand out from your background
  • Use a better quality camera, such as a USB camera
  • Wear clothes that don't blend in with the background
