The 4 stages of a customer idea

Ideas submitted to the Ideas and Suggestions board move through 4 stages as they’re reviewed by our Product team.

Stage 1: Post and vote

You can search for existing ideas, vote, and add comments, or submit a new idea if one hasn’t been posted yet. Once your idea is submitted and reviewed, its status is updated to We’ve received this idea.

Stage 2: Review and evaluate

While voting and comments continue, our Product team evaluates each idea. During this stage, the status changes to We’re evaluating this idea. Ideas are reviewed based on factors such as customer impact, security and HIPAA alignment, product philosophy, roadmap alignment, and whether the idea helps customers spend more time with clients.

Stage 3: Scope and plan

All ideas are considered during roadmap planning, and some may be combined or adjusted. If work begins, the status is updated to We’ve started working on this idea. If an idea isn’t a current priority, its status is updated to We’re currently not moving forward with this idea, though it may be revisited in future planning.

Stage 4: Develop and deliver

Once development is complete, the feature is added to the platform and the status is updated to We’ve made improvements based on this idea

Why hasn’t my idea moved forward into development?

  • How many customers will benefit

  • Fit within the product roadmap
  • Whether the idea helps customers spend more time with clients
