JavaScript helps SimplePractice features run smoothly, and cookies store small pieces of information in your browser for a consistent, reliable experience. While browsers may let you turn these settings off, SimplePractice needs both JavaScript and cookies enabled to work properly.
Follow the steps for your browser below to enable cookies and JavaScript:

Google Chrome
To turn on cookies in Chrome:
- Open Chrome
- Click the 3 vertical dots in the top right corner
- Select Settings > Privacy and security
- Select Third-party cookies
- Choose one of the following:
- Allow third-party cookies

Block third-party cookies in Incognito mode
- If you select Block third-party cookies in Incognito mode, SimplePractice may not work correctly in Incognito mode
If you prefer to block cookies on all sites except SimplePractice:
- Select Block third-party cookies
- Under Customized behaviors > Allowed to use third-party cookies, click Add
- Enter secure.simplepractice.com
To turn on JavaScript in Chrome:
- Open Chrome
- Click the 3 vertical dots in the top right corner
- Select Settings > Privacy and Security
- Click Site settings
- Under Content, select JavaScript
- Select Sites can use JavaScript
To allow JavaScript only on SimplePractice:
- Select Don't allow sites to use JavaScript
- Under Customized behaviors > Allowed to use Javascript, click Add
- Enter secure.simplepractice.com
Mozilla Firefox
To turn on cookies and JavaScript in Firefox:
- Open Firefox
- Click the 3 horizontal lines in the top right corner
- Select Settings > Privacy & Security
- Under Enhanced Tracking Protection, choose Standard
If you prefer to block cookies on all sites except SimplePractice:
- In Privacy & Security, click Manage Exceptions
- Enter secure.simplepractice.com
- Click Save Changes
- Return to Privacy & Security
- Select Custom
- Check the box next to Cookies
- From the dropdown menu, choose All cookies
Note: Firefox doesn't include a built-in option to disable JavaScript. For more information, see Allow and block JavaScript on certain domains in Mozilla’s Help Center.
Safari
To turn on cookies in Safari:
- Open Safari
- From the top menu bar, select Safari > Settings
- Click Privacy
- Uncheck Block all cookies
To turn on JavaScript in Safari:
- Open Safari
- From the top menu bar, select Safari > Settings
- Click Security
- Check Enable JavaScript
Note: Safari doesn't let you enable cookies or JavaScript for individual sites. For details, refer to Safari Support.
Microsoft Edge
To turn on cookies in Edge:
- Open Edge
- From the top right corner, click the 3 horizontal dots > Settings
- Select Cookies and Site Permissions
- Select Manage and delete cookies and site data
- Toggle Allow sites to save and read cookie data on
- Toggle Block third-party cookies off
If you prefer to block cookies on all sites except SimplePractice:
- Toggle Allow sites to save and read cookie data off
- Next to Allow, click Add
- Enter secure.simplepractice.com
- Check Include third-party cookies on this site
- Click Add
To turn on JavaScript in Edge:
- Open Edge
- From the top right corner, click the 3 horizontal dots > Settings
- Select Cookies and Site Permissions
- Scroll down and select JavaScript
- Toggle Allowed on
To allow JavaScript only on SimplePractice:
- Toggle Allowed off
- Next to Allow, click Add
- Enter secure.simplepractice.com
- Click Add
Opera
To turn on cookies and JavaScript in Opera:
- Open Opera
- Click the 3 horizontal lines in the top right corner
- Select Go to full browser settings
- Under Privacy and security, select Site settings
- Select Third-party cookies
- Choose Block third-party cookies in Incognito mode
- Return to the Site Settings page
- Click JavaScript
- Ensure Sites can use Javascript is on
