Managing clinician-specific scheduling and contact form links

Group practices can use clinician-specific appointment request and contact form links to route prospective clients directly to a specific clinician during intake. This is useful when you want clients to be directed to a specific clinician without needing to select one during intake.

In this guide, we’ll cover:

• Copying links from the Inquiries and Requests pages
• Embedding appointment request and contact form widgets

Accessing appointment request and contact form links

Note: This feature is available to group practices on the Plus plan. Access to this settings page is limited to Account Owners, clinicians with entire practice access, and practice managers. To learn more, see Clinician roles available for team members and Administrative roles available for team members.

The Request and contact links page centralizes all practice-wide and clinician-specific appointment request and contact form links, making it easier for group practices to review and share the right link for each clinician.

To access this:

1. Navigate to Settings > Scheduling and inquiries > Request and contact links

From here, you can:

• Toggle between Appointment request and Contact form

• Search for a clinician
• Preview each link by clicking the eye icon

• Download all links as a CSV file by clicking Download links
  • Downloading links can be useful for larger group practices that manage clinician-specific links outside of SimplePractice, such as on external websites, directories, or intake workflows

At the top of the clinician list, you’ll find a practice-level link that directs clients to the practice-wide appointment request or contact form. You can choose to share a clinician-specific link instead to direct prospective clients to a particular clinician.

To share a clinician-specific link:

1. On the Request and contact links page, select Appointment request or Contact form
2. Locate the clinician
3. Click Copy link next to that clinician

When a prospective client opens a clinician-specific link:

• An appointment request link will show that clinician’s services, availability, and request form in the Client Portal
• A contact form link will take them to that clinician’s contact form to submit an inquiry

Copying links from the Inquiries and Requests pages

You can also copy clinician-specific links directly from the Inquiries and Requests pages. This is helpful when you’re reviewing or responding to a prospective client and need to quickly share a link.

To copy a clinician-specific link from these pages:

1. Navigate to the Inquiries or Requests page
2. Select the gear icon
3. Choose Request and contact links

3. Toggle between Contact Form or Appointment Request
4. Click Copy next to the clinician whose link you want to share

Embedding appointment request and contact form widgets

In addition to practice-wide widgets, clinicians can copy the embed code for their own appointment request or contact form widget to use outside of SimplePractice.

To access the code for each widget:

1. Navigate to Settings > Scheduling and inquiries > Widgets
2. Toggle between Appointment request or Contact form
3. Select Copy code
