Adding Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) to your account
You can add the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) via DrFirst to your SimplePractice account so that PDMP checks are directly integrated into your ePrescribing workflow. This allows you to meet state requirements for ePrescribing checks, without having to log into the state prescription monitoring program site separately.
To set up PDMP, there’s a one-time non-refundable setup fee of $699 + tax, if applicable, per practice and after setup is complete $6.25/month + tax per clinician. PDMP is only accessible to ePrescribers within the DrFirst panel.
Note: It's possible that the monthly clinician fee of $6.25/month may be waived. For more information, see What states have a subsidy available for PDMP fees?
Only the Account Owner can request PDMP be added for the practice or for any clinician.
To add PDMP to your practice, reach out to our Customer Success team.
Important: If you’d like to add PDMP for any of the following states, there are specific instructions and possible additional fees associated with your integration: California, Illinois, Maryland, Nebraska, and Washington. Our Customer Success team will send you additional information required when you confirm which state you’d like integrated.
What states don’t offer PDMP integration?
At this time, Guam, Kentucky, and New York don’t offer a PDMP integration with DrFirst. New York's PDMP must be accessed through the Health Commerce System.
